Experience Postgrad Life Sciences Summer Internship 2021
The very first cohort of 15 students to the Experience Postgrad Life Sciences programme joined us in Cambridge in Summer 2021 and were accommodated by Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.
The interns spent 8 weeks in their designated research laboratory and attended 2-3 teaching seminars each week. These interactive seminars were provided by a range of academic supervisors across the Schools of Biological Sciences and Clinical Medicine and ranged from communication skills to statistics training, to careers discussions and interview coaching. Also included were one to one meetings with a careers advisor.
In the final week there was an in-person symposium where all students gave a 15 minute presentation on their research project.
