The Postgraduate School of Life Sciences, together with the sponsors of this scheme, are committed to widening participation in postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge and will be using positive action under the Equality Act 2010, where appropriate, to tackle the underrepresentation of certain groups. Experience Postgrad Life Sciences offers paid 8-week research internships to penultimate year undergraduate students studying at a UK or Republic of Ireland university, with priority given to those from underrepresented and disadvantaged groups.
The programme in 2025 will run from 14 July – 05 September 2025. Participants will need to arrive on 13 July.
Interns will be invited to take part in additional events including training on how to apply for postgraduate courses and scientific lectures and seminars.
A variety of social activities will be provided during the programme.
