Programme Overview

Along with our partner sponsors for this programme the Postgraduate School of Life Sciences at the University of Cambridge is committed to widening participation in postgraduate studies in the Life Sciences.

Experience Postgrad Life Sciences offers paid 8-week research placements to penultimate year undergraduate students studying at a UK or Republic of Ireland university, with priority given to those from underrepresented and disadvantaged groups.

The programme in 2026 will run from 13 July – 04 September 2026. Participants will need to arrive on 12 July. 

Participants will be invited to take part in additional events including training on how to apply for postgraduate courses and scientific lectures and seminars. 

A variety of social activities will be provided during the programme.
