Experience Postgrad Life Sciences Summer Internship 2022
In July, we were very pleased to welcome the 15 students taking part in the 2022 Experience Postgrad Life Sciences internship programme. These undergraduate students joined us in Cambridge from 11 July to 2 September, generously hosted by Corpus Christi College, and worked in research labs across the School of Biological Sciences and the School of Clinical Medicine.
In addition to substantive lab-based research experience, students engaged in many activities, developing a wide range of skills - from data analysis to science communication. Dedicated mentors from among current PhD students and research staff were on hand to help them extend their professional networks, learn how to prepare competitive postgraduate applications and explore the diverse career opportunities opened by a science degree.
In the final week of the programme, all 15 interns each presented their summer research project to their peers at the programme symposium.
